As a Meat Packer at Weaver Meat Processing, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our production process. You'll be responsible for packaging and labeling meat products accurately and efficiently, ensuring they are prepared for distribution while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Pack and package meat products according to established guidelines and orders.
  • Weigh, label, and seal packages accurately, verifying product and weight information.
  • Ensure that all packaging materials meet quality standards and are free from contamination.
  • Maintain a clean and organized packaging area, following sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the production team to prioritize orders and meet packaging deadlines.
  • Inspect packaged products for defects, discrepancies, or irregularities, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and inform supervisors of shortages.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Assist in maintaining production records and reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Meat Packer or in a similar packaging role is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is preferred but not required. Weaver Meat Processing will provide necessary training.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately follow packaging instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift packages, and perform repetitive tasks.
