As a Meat Cutter at Weaver Meat Processing, you'll play a pivotal role in our meat production process, specializing in precision cutting, deboning, and ensuring the correct lean to fat ratio. Your expertise will also extend to crafting stew meat from lean beef cuts. Responsibilities:

Precision Cutting and Deboning:

  • Utilize your expert knowledge of meat cuts to execute precise and consistent cutting, including deboning, trimming, and ensuring no bones are left in the meat in preparation for grinding.
  • Achieve the desired lean to fat ratio for each product, maintaining the ideal balance for optimal flavor and texture.

Stew Meat Preparation:

  • Skillfully cut stew meat from lean beef cuts, ensuring uniformity in size and quality.
  • Follow established specifications for stew meat, contributing to the creation of high-quality products.

Product Quality and Consistency:

  • Maintain the highest standards of quality in all cutting and deboning tasks, ensuring that each cut meets our exacting standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify and remove any imperfections, ensuring only the finest cuts are packaged.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address any concerns or adjustments in production.

Specialized Tool Operation:

  • Use knives and specialized small tools for meat cutting, maintaining precision and accuracy in your work.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for the use of tools to prevent accidents or injuries.

Hygiene and Safety:

  • Adhere rigorously to food safety and hygiene practices, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for the tasks.
